Too far behind

Kit - Doctor's Orders - Pamela Donnis

As you can see I'm way way behind on this blog. I thought I was going to be able to keep up pretty good with it and then boom, something happens that makes me more behind than ever. On the 13th of January, my cat Sassy had gotten caught in my electric bed underneath as I was lowering it. I hopped up out of the bed in fear of what I would find left of her. As the hubby was seeing what was going on and trying to get the bed up more, I had reached under the bed with my arm to see if she was ok. As I was doing that I fell backwards and Sassy had my wrist in her mouth, and it just ripped my wrist in many places. I was more worried about her being hurt than I was with myself. When she finally was able to get out and get her teeth out of my skin, I pulled my arm back and wa la, there was a ton of blood! I at first thought it was her, but hubby said omg look at your arm, you're bleeding bad. So I told him to check her first and see if she was ok, because Lord knows we can't afford a vet bill, well she was just fine, just shook up was all. Then it was time to tend to my injuries. Got it all cleaned up and found that I would have to make a trip to the ER or to my doctor if I could get in then. I ended up at my doctor's office, and he was shocked at how deep the injuries were, and said that it would need some stitches but in the area that it was torn in he couldn't stitch because it was right in the crease where the wrist bends at and he said that it would just bust back open. So they had to put some butterfly stitches (6) on the one tear to close it, and 3 butterflies on the other one. The big thing was infection and to keep it dry and clean. I didn't know that cats carry a lot of bacteria in their mouths, but I sure do now. Lucky for me Sassy has had all her shots and is only an indoor kitty so no worries there. Trying to do anything with a swollen hand and wrist was impossible, not to mention how very painful it was, so for most of the time I just was a couch potato and watched TV. Now I'm way behind on everything I needed to get done, and it's so hard to catch up. Here's a picture of my bites, please be aware that they are really graphic, so if you have a weak tummy don't read from here down lol.

This is the ointment that I had to keep on them, it worked really good at getting it healed.

And here's my Sassy

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Day 5

I can't believe how far behind I am. I haven't had no time to scrap any of the photos, so I'm just going to post them as I go along. I captured some of our snow storm here in Indiana. We ended up with a total of 7 inches last week along with frigid tempatures.

This was taken just outside our home. Not all of the snow had fallen when I had got these photos.

I think the snow is pretty, but I'm so done with the cold that comes along with it. I'm ready for Spring!!
Be sure to come back by tomorrow as I will have a "freebie" waiting for you :)

Have a great Tuesday

Day 4

daythree copy

I just recently found out that “Pockets” passed away right around Christmas time.  I had to give her to a new home in April due to a landlord issue, not that I wanted to give her up.  I had her since she was just a kitten.  She was the most loving baby anyone could ever want.  She never wanted for anything, and that included all the love she could get, even with her new “Mommy”.  Pockets was a big girl weighing in at around 21 pounds.  She was 10 years old just this past November.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.  R.I.P. baby girl.

Here's a template freebie you can use to help with your 365 layouts.

You can download it HERE

Day Two

I was sitting watching a show on television and Sasha sat up and was looking at me like she was posing. I thought it was just too cute not to get a picture of her sitting like that.

365 Days - Day 1

Day 1:

I've not tried 365 blog before, but I thought I would try getting it accomplished this year and see how far I could get. This past year has really been a rough one for me, seems like everytime I turn around I'm getting sick somehow. I went out and got some vitamins and started taking them to see if that will help fight off all this Winter's illnesses. I've still got the second round of the cold I caught from my DS. It was hard enough getting over the first one I had and then boom, here came another one. Hopefully taking these vitamins will help fight off anymore colds that pass through our home this year. Speaking of cold, it's been bitter cold outside, and they are calling for 4 to 7 inches of snow between today and Friday. We stopped in the grocery store today for the basics and they only had 3 gallons of Milk left! That store was really packed, it was like everyone was afraid of the snow we're going to get. It's not like they won't plow the roads so you can't get out duhh.
I'm behind on my postings for this New Year but I'm going to try and get caught up. You will probably be seeing lots of pictures of my cats and hopefully of my two adult kiddos, that's if they let me sneek in a pic or two. My first picture is where we all call home. This past Summer we totally re-done the living room, even getting a new television and some new furniture! I hope I don't bore you with my daily blogging, I can get a bit boring at times. Now onto my first day's post.
